Sports Psychotherapy

In the highly competitive world of Motorsport, maintaining physical fitness is key. However, the role of the mind in either helping or hindering performance in sport is well documented. Daily life and stresses outside of motorsport, can significantly impact on wellbeing and performance. Dealing with unseen challenges, stresses and injuries all impact on how you perform.
A few ways in which Sports Psychotherapy can help your motor racing:

• Master pre-race tension and anxiety so you arrive at the event focused and prepared.

• Understanding how to regulate and manage your emotions such as frustration, anger, disappointment and elation. Emotional regulation in managing the highs after a win, is as important as managing the lows after a loss.

• Concentrating on elements that are key to optimising your performance, without getting distracted by excessive details, irrelevant factors, or what other competitors are doing.

• Develop core confidence in your ability, performance and your bounce-back-ability after setbacks.

I have a passion for motorsport and consider it a privilege to work with individuals to gain a greater ability to manage the challenges and difficulties they may face when entering a professional sporting environment, both on and off the circuit.

I offer either Face to Face sessions in my comfortable therapy room in central Woking, or through Online (Teletherapy) sessions which are conducted over the internet using a secure, encrypted platform.
